I agree, it's very difficult to be entirely apathetic about the existence or otherwise of God. Perhaps it's just human curiosity being mistaken for religious questing.
I liken my apathy to the other question: "Is there a Mr. Ying living in a village somewhere half-way up a hill in Taiwan?".
I have no way of knowing whether Mr. Ying exists or not.
If I fell under a bus on the way home tonight, Mr. Ying would not be aware of this, and in truth probably wouldn't give a damn even if someone told him.
So I am not going to lose any sleep over whether or not Mr. Ying exists. I am apathetic.
....but sometimes you wonder....
