I can see where you're coming from on this Margaret. What you're basing your beliefs on is that as long as mankind discusses and believes in god, even if god is not a real being, god exists as a belief. I.e., god is in mankind's beliefs and creation of god. Thus, it stands to reason, mankind could do away with god by ignoring and stopping all the discussions. Needless to say, this will never happen for obvious reasons. But, continuing with your train of thought, you have to conceded that:
- god has many entities and is something different to everyone. Therefore, if a satanist worships satan as god, then god is satan;
- if someone worships a tree as god, then god is a tree;
- if someone totally doesn't believe in a god and doesn't even think about it, then god is basically non-existent.
Wow, god has a lot of faces, and can't be defined in any form whatsoever. To radical Muslims, god is pleased by beheading those who oppose him. To me, god is -- at best -- earth and the sun, and is neutral, neither evil nor good, neither loving or hating, just there.
This argument goes nowhere, really, just an observation I guess. Lol.
